Ledgerline

An inventory tool for small warehouses that need fast, keyboard-driven stock management.

Ledgerline is a concept project created by WIMA Technologies to illustrate our approach. It is not client work and has no real-world results.

Ledgerline concept desktop application showing a stock table

Project overview

Ledgerline is a concept desktop application for small warehouses that manage stock on shared workstations.

The opportunity

Warehouse staff need to look up and update items quickly, often with barcode scanners and sometimes without a reliable connection. A desktop tool can handle this better than a browser.

Project goals

  • Look up any item in seconds
  • Work with barcode scanners and keyboards
  • Keep working during network outages
  • Export data for accounting

Solution and design direction

A dense but readable table shows stock levels with clear status labels. A detail panel shows item history. Every common action has a keyboard shortcut, and changes made offline sync when the connection returns.

Technologies and platforms

Proposed for this concept; real projects are scoped individually.

  • .NET or a cross-platform desktop framework
  • Local database with sync
  • Barcode scanner support
  • CSV and accounting exports

Platforms supported: Windows, macOS

Key features

  • Fast search. Find items by name, code or location.
  • Scanner support. Scan to look up or adjust stock.
  • Offline mode. Keep working and sync later.
  • Exports. Data ready for accounting tools.

Screens and mockups

Development approach

Time spent observing staff at work shapes the first version. Early builds are installed on one workstation for feedback before rolling out more widely.

Results

No results to reportWe only publish results that have been measured and verified. As a concept project, Ledgerline has not been released, so there are no outcomes to share.
